Francesca Napier didn’t know her mother would never hear the good news.

After tossing her saffron-colored, high-waisted slacks onto the bed, she plucked a mustard-colored vest from the oak armoire. She took a moment to admire the garments on her Tiffany blue bedspread just as her phone began to vibrate. "Angela Layton, if you call me one more time this morning, I am going to have to find a different manager." Frankie declared with a smile. She plopped herself on the bed next to the ironed pieces of clothing, picking at a piece of lint off the vest while crossing one long leg over the other.
